It's easy to create curved, bent, warped, and other text effects with WordArt. I have followed every direction (and have been using this function forever on older versions) and it simply does not exist in my copy of the 365 software. It doesn't seem like that's possible.
The secret to vertical text in Microsoft Word is the table. Choose the Word Art option, then click the text icon that looks the way you want your curved text to look. I have stylist and ligatures options, but the stylist has no transforms.
