Two other albums you worked on that made a big splash this year was Nas' King's Disease album and Big Sean's Detroit 2, both of which got an overwhelming amount of praise. Both students of the game my brother nipsey and I weren’t afraid to be our most humble selves when we were in each other’s presence.

The rapper was shot in the back of the head on July 2, and the reality t.v. But when you meet face-to-face with violence, how do you combat it? That's a beautiful thing. I made some shit to where it sounds like, but they know it's original, it's fresh, like I ain't do no basic, surface-ass shit.

SAS isn’t just a one-trick pony either, the young star just recently launched his own clothing line, NBL (Natural Born Leaders) and working hard to manifest many of his ideas into reality. We set the bar up real high with that first song and from there, it just was like the energy was just crazy and we just kept it going. But off-camera, Sas has found himself in some more serious trouble after being arrested and … I started going to the gym every day, to the yard every day. And I really believe, and I think it's because we have not compromised to be recognized. I’m posting on Instagram, kicking it with my fans, and still got people. Being that Benny comes out of the Griselda camp, which works closely with their own production team, how did you and Benny first cross paths and what was the catalyst for you to go beyond producing individual records and working on the album in its entirety? Allah got me. But me and Nip, we started working way back, we did a song called "Thuggin'" with him and Boosie, it was on, I think, Bullets Ain't Got No Name Vol. Y’all pray for me though. I’m still gonna go where I like to hang., I’m gonna still do what I gotta do and all of that. Unfortunately, after surviving a bullet wound in the back of his head, Deleon has been experiencing memory loss, forcing him to write everything down. I’m probably standing there for like seven minutes, eight minutes, literally standing there, trying to tell this man what happened, and finally he calls the ambulance. That should tell you a lot right there. On how the global pandemic is serving as a wake-up call: The Bible, it forewarns us, as in those of us that are believers, those of us that are Christians, The Bible tells us that, "Beware of the times and the seasons, because you just don't know when the Son of Man is coming." His family has provided the most “real” and serious storylines of the season.
Honestly, I wasn't even thinking like, 'I gotta get him with some young dudes.' I called my nana and I told her I wanted to have a BBQ at the house. But "Racks in the Middle," that was just a moment where we connected. All that s**t happened on this day, the last odd night of Ramadan.
