I picked up this book because I wanted to understand the world of modeling and I wanted to read of a model with courage. Plume means Feather. The narrative exposes the dark underbelly of modeling, focusing on unethical practices, charlatans, mental and physical illnesses, and the abuse that young women face as they pursue celebrity.
