It really depends on the width of your foot too though, vans can be slimmer or wider sometimes, it tends to vary. For some reason, with every pair I've owned of both, Nike 13s fit perfectly and Vans 12s fit perfectly. I normally wear a size 10 or 10 1/2 in most brands (Vans, Adidas, Nike, etc).
