Since I thought obviously the problem was my hair, I tried the combo again on my hair after a super moisturizing deep conditioner and my hair still felt like I had walked through the Sahara. It also did not hold my curls. But, if you use the correct amount and scrunch it into soaking wet hair, it is the BESTTT. I think it has to do with never using actual shampoo therefore having mass product buildup.
DevaCurl also played nicer with my styling product when used as a leave-in. Curly girls around the world did a happy dance. If you have yet to dive into the world of DevaCurl gel, don’t worry. This product has caused my hair to fall out and I have developed an extremely itchy/ dry scalp.
Light Defining Gel is perfect for those who don’t necessarily need that extra hold but want something to define and lock in moisture.
